Punch Walk Pro Privacy Policy

Punch Walk Pro ("the app", "we") is used by construction and property management teams to record property walk-throughs and punch list items, on phones and in the web version at app.punchwalkpro.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how to have it deleted.
Information we collect
- Email address and password. Used to sign in. When you create an account, sign in for the first time or reset your password, we email you a 6-digit code to confirm the address is yours. The password is checked by our hosting provider and is not stored on the phone.
- Name, company name and phone number. Asked for only when you create a new company account, so we know who the account belongs to and can contact you about it. People who join an existing company (for example with a company email address) are not asked for these.
- Your company and side. Which company you belong to, and whether you work on its Construction or Property Management side, which decides which walks you can see.
- Initials. Each person enters their initials on their phone. They are shown on items marked "Work Completed" so the team can see who completed the work.
- Walk information. Property names, walk names, dates, building and unit numbers, issue locations, trades and descriptions, completion status, and which trade reports have been sent.
- Photos. Photos taken in the app to document issues. The app re-saves each photo before uploading it, which removes the camera's location data from the file.
- Settings. A company's property list, trade and location lists, and field labels.
- Account dates. Our hosting provider automatically records when each account was created and when it last signed in. We use these, together with the dates walks were last changed, only to look after accounts (for example, to see which accounts are active).
The app does not collect your location, contacts, device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage analytics (such as which screens you open or what you tap), and it contains no advertising or tracking.
How the information is used
Only to run the service: creating and signing in to accounts, sending sign-in codes, keeping each company's walks, photos and settings in sync across its phones and the web version, and contacting the account owner about the account. When a new company account is created, we receive an email with the company name and the contact details given at sign-up. We do not sell or rent any information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored and who can see it
- Information is stored on each phone and in our database and file storage hosted by Supabase, our service provider, which processes it only on our behalf.
- Sign-in codes and account emails are sent by Resend, our email provider, which receives only the email address and the message it sends for us.
- Everything is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
- Each company can only access its own walks and photos, and each side of a company only its own side's. Companies never see each other's information. The database enforces this.
- PDF reports are created on your phone or computer. They leave it only when you choose to share them yourself, for example by email or text message.
How long it is kept
Walks, photos and settings are kept until the company deletes them, or until the company's account is deleted as described below.
Deleting your account and data
In the app: open Settings and tap Delete my account. Your login is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
- If other people in your company still use Punch Walk Pro, the company's walks and photos stay with the company, because they belong to the company rather than to one person. Your name and phone number (if you gave them) are deleted with your login.
- If you were the last person in your company, the company's walks, photos and settings are kept for 30 days, in case it was a mistake, and are then permanently deleted from our database and file storage.
By email: you can also ask us to delete your account or your company's data by emailing punchwalkpro.support@icloud.com from the address you sign in with. We will do it within 30 days.
Any backup copies kept by our hosting provider are removed automatically within 30 days of deletion. Walks already saved on a phone stay on that phone until the app is removed from it; deleting your account removes them from the phone you deleted it on.
You can also delete individual walks, units, issues and photos at any time in the app; those deletions are removed from our servers and from your team's other phones when they sync.
PDF reports that you have already shared with other people are outside our control and are not affected.
Children
Punch Walk Pro is a work tool for construction and property professionals and is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
